Das aktuelle Corona-Krankheitsaufkommen in Deutschland beträgt schätzungsweise 1.505 Fälle pro 100.000 Einwohner, was bedeutet, dass ca. eine von 47 Personen derzeit akut infiziert ist (angenommen sind Ø 10 Tage Infektionsdauer). Das Robert-Koch-Institut (RKI) meldet eine auf meldepflichtigen PCR-Tests basierte Inzidenz von 11, wobei auf jede offiziell registrierte Infektion etwa 123 weitere unentdeckte Fälle entfallen. Berlin, 23. August 2024 – Vor dem Bundesministerium für Gesundheit (BMG) in Berlin versammelten sich am Freitagnachmittag etwa 60 Menschen, um auf die schwierige Situation von Long-Covid- und ME/CFS-Betroffenen aufmerksam zu machen.
Das Infektionsschutzgesetz verpflichtet Ärzte und Einrichtungen dazu, meldepflichtige Krankheiten wie Covid-19 an das Gesundheitsamt weiterzugeben. Auch Privatpersonen können Verdachtsfälle melden.
Am 15. und 16. Mai 2024 fand die virtuelle Konferenz #UniteToFight2024 statt und zog über 10.000 Teilnehmer an, die sich über die neuesten Entwicklungen zu Long Covid und ME/CFS informierten. Führende Experten wie Dr. David Putrino und Prof. Akiko Iwasaki präsentierten aktuelle Forschungsergebnisse.
Die Übertragung durch Aerosole ist einer der am schwierigsten zu vermeidenden Infektionswege und kann nur durch FFP2/3-Masken und Augenschutz verhindert werden.
Anders als mit normalen Schnelltests bestehen daher mit Pluslife-Tests gute Chancen, eine Infektion zu erkennen, bevor die Viruslast hoch genug für eine Ansteckung ist.
Golda Schlaff und 15 weitere prominente Ärzt:innen fordern mehr Respekt vor den Patient:innen, die Wiedereinführung von FFP2-Masken bei steigenden Inzidenzen sowie den flächendeckenden Einsatz von HEPA-Filtern in medizinischen Einrichtungen.
